About me
Hello, I'm The DLD Mouse! ​ I'm here to raise awareness of DLD.
I'm based in the UK with my Speech and Language Therapist human. I've been raising awareness since 2022.
I noticed that not many people had heard about DLD. Just knowing about DLD can make a huge impact for children and adults with DLD. In 2022 I was trying to think of a creative way to raise awareness and that's how the DLD mouse came about!
About DLD
DLD stands for Developmental Language Disorder.
DLD is a diagnosis given to people when they find talking and/or understanding difficult. This might make following instructions, remembering words, and sharing ideas tricky. Not many people know about DLD, but DLD is very common. 1 in 14 people have it.
